Keith Mione Park/Sports Complex
The center of many of the Mundelein Park District’s activities, the 153-acre Keith Mione Community Park and Sports Complex offers a wide mix of amenities and activities for all ages to enjoy. The site is named after former Park District Commissioner, Keith W. Mione, who was very active in the community and loved sports.
It features a stocked lake for fishing, tennis courts, and lighted ball fields for adult leagues and youth organizations. A picnic shelter, nestled between two water thrills, Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center and Spray Park, is available for rent. Wintertime offers free fun with Mundelein’s largest sled hill and the lighted ice rink for open skate, hockey, and unique things such as “broomball”on ice. There is also a smaller sledding hill for younger children
