The sledding hill and ice skating rink will be illuminated until 10:00 pm. Just a reminder, “THINK SAFETY” Look at the park rules before using the sledding hill and ice skating rink. Remember to walk up the sides of the sledding hill, when returning to the top, and watch for others sledding down the hill. Do not sled on the back of the hill. The park is NOT supervised, and is to be used “at your own risk”. Please call the Recreation Department for more information at 847-526-4851.

The center of many of the Mundelein Park District’s activities, the 153-acre Keith Mione Community Park and Sports Complex offers a wide mix of amenities and activities for all ages to enjoy. The site is named after former Park District Commissioner, Keith W. Mione, who was very active in the community and loved sports.
It features a stocked lake for fishing, tennis courts, and lighted ball fields for adult leagues and youth organizations. A picnic shelter, nestled between two water thrills, Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center and Spray Park, is available for rent. Wintertime offers free fun with Mundelein’s largest sled hilland the lighted ice rink for open skate, hockey, and unique things such as “broomball”on ice. There is also a smaller sledding hill for younger children
Ice skating is available in the winter months, based on weather conditions. Skating is free. No Skate rentals are available, you must bring your own skates.

The Willow Stream Park winter sports area will be open until March 1, depending on snow and freeze conditions.
The unsupervised sled hill is located at the north end of the park. The most convenient place to park is at the north entrance (Farrington Drive) near the pool. The sledding hill is lighted at the top.
The park also has a large ice skating area. The rink is located on the south side of the park off of Old Checker Road. The sled hill and rinks are lighted until 10:30 pm.
