Embark on a magical 45 minute train ride through the winter countryside on your way to visit with Santa Claus himself! Treats will be served and gifts will be given to children on Santa’s “good list”.
Days for this event are December 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th. Saturday and Sunday trips are at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. (Rides at other times may be opened up at a later date based on demand). Ticket prices are $15.00 per person. Everyone past their first birthday must have a ticket. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, all ticket sales are final. Display buildings and museum grounds will not be open for this event. Parking is free. Plan to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your scheduled trip.
For those of you who have visited us in previous years, note that the format of the event is improved for 2015. The train ride is longer, and will leave from the depot and return to the depot, rather than the diner. Santa will ride the train with you. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available at the depot and/or the diner.

The North Pole Express Trains (Formerly the Polar Express) with the Village of Antioch was a huge success and we hope to see you this year.
The 3.5 hour round trip excursion comes to life as the train departs the Antioch Metra Station for a journey to the North Pole. Children will join in and sing as our conductor goes around checking each of them in. Children’s faces show the magic of the season when the train arrives at the North Pole. Santa will join the group in between keeping an eye on the elves that are busy making the toys for Christmas. Christmas carols will be sung as they return back to the Antioch Metra Station. Children and adults are encouraged to wear pajama’s to this event.
The North Pole Express Trains begin to run on December 3,4,5,10,11,12,17,18,19,22,and 23rd. Departing from Antioch at 11 am and arriving back from the North Pole at 2:35 pm.
Residents 60002 tickets go on sale Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 pm and Non-Residents on Monday, October 20th. Proof of residence will be required to purchase tickets.
Tickets for residents $22.00 everyone must have a ticket.
Children in baby carriers will be free (9 months and younger).
Tickets for Non-residents $25.00 each. Ticket includes round trip train trip, lunch, crafts, hot chocolate, cookies and a visit from Santa. Table seat 6 only so tickets will be limited to 6 per person. Tickets are limited per train. Tickets MUST be purchase in person only. No phone calls, no tickets will be available online.
